Milwaukee's central count location will rerun about 31,000 ballots after a "sealing" error with the tabulation machines was discovered.

Some 30,000 absentee ballots in Milwaukee need to be recounted, likely delaying the results in the key swing state of Wisconsin, election officials said.

While human error, not machine error, was the cause of this issue, the Milwaukee Election Commission confirmed the state would recount absentee ballots that had been run at its Central Count center. The move was being made, WTMJ reported, in an "overabundance of caution."
