About 1,000 people in Warren County have applied for early, mail-in ballots ahead of the Nov. 5 elections, board of elections officials say.

With only 52 days until Election Day, early voting with an absentee ballot is the plan to help you avoid those long lines at polling places on Tuesday, Nov. 5. American voters will cast their ballots for who will be in the White House for the next 4 years this Election Day.

Election officials are raising concerns about the U.S. Postal Service's ability to handle this fall’s expected influx of election mail. But USPS say it’s ready to deliver the country’s ballots.

The drop box is located in the alley alongside the Finance Department's customer center, 100 N. Appleton St. The alley, though, is blocked with construction equipment — and will remain so through December — so voters cannot drive up to the drop box to deliver their ballot as they could in the past.

By Thursday, all absentee ballots for those across Wisconsin who have already requested them will have been sent out.

Wisconsin clerks will start to mail absentee ballots to voters who requested one on Thursday. They can also open up drop boxes.
